December 17 Snowflake Ball

Category: Announcements – Leader – 12:26 pm

Congratulations to two of our very own Girl Scouts who will be participating in a Mentoring Program sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for girls 9 – 13 years of age. The program is structured to provide cultural and social experiences in a healthy and safe environment. Troop 134 Girl Scouts are invited to attend the Snowflake Ball on December 17th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Northfield Inn on North Dirksen Parkway. Cynthia, your Girl Scout leader, is a member of this organization and has invited the girl scouts of Troop 134 to attend. This will give the girls an opportunity to experience the event for themselves just in case they would like to participate next year.

The mentoring program provides enrichment programs such as etiquette classes, praise dance and/or drill teams, and wholesome pizza and slumber parties. It is truly a worth while event for the Girl Scouts to participate in. The most exciting treat of all is that the girls will have their picture printed on the calendar. Each girl has walked away with a greater experience than ever before and some girls have chosen to come back another year to participate. The Snowflake Mentoring Program starts in August and ends in December of each year.

The dress attire for the event is church clothes or semi-formal.
